Where I started

My family left Belarus when I was a child. We arrived in the United States with no English and no network, and my parents rebuilt from zero.

I am the first in my family to attend college and law school. My two younger sisters are watching.

02

Why defense

I grew up watching lawyers abroad fight the Lukashenko government for civil rights. That is why I chose law and defense work.

At UGA I ran the student defense society, which represented more than 70 students in disciplinary actions and hearings against the university.

My work on Vetta and Maysville applies the same instinct to companies facing government and public scrutiny.

03

What I am training for

I am training for cross-border white collar defense and government investigations: sanctions, export controls, tariffs and trade, and FCPA. That work defends foreign companies in U.S. enforcement and U.S. companies for conduct abroad.

International arbitration is my second interest.
